Journaling Into My Mind

Today's journal prompt is "would you rather spend all day at the mall or at the beach?" This is a pretty hard question for an introverted ginger like me! I have been at the mall numerous times, but I usually leave feeling utterly exhausted and nap for several hours. However ... I have been to the beach once and left a lobster ... even with sunscreen. In all honesty, if I had to choose, I would go with a beach that has plenty of shade. The ability to dip my feet in the water, build sand castles, and enjoy the serenity is something that I couldn't pass up. I would either need to be under an umbrella or palm tree ... or go in the evening. That would be awesome. I occasionally dream of having a house on the beach that has a walk-around porch. Hardwood floors, full windows that are open almost year round ... being able to fall asleep to the crashing waves ... yes, please!

On the other hand ... I do love shopping at outdoor malls. They do not make me feel as much anxiety as indoor malls. My husband and I spent our fifth anniversary at an outdoor mall. We had a blast and loved walking around after dark. If I have to go to an indoor mall ... I prefer to have set destinations where I am planning on going.

So, what about you ... would you prefer to be on a beach or at a mall for a day?
